I Found Some Of Your Life

I Found Some Of Your Life

This is a link to one of the best ideas of a blog I've seen so far. This blogger found a memory card in a taxi, took it home and discovered exactly a years worth of photos on it. He's publishing one photo each day and trying to recreate the life of this person in the hope that maybe one day that person might actually come across it. Makes for amusing reading!

That reminds me of an 'art work' by Sophie Calle. She found a man's address book in the street and called the people in it. She published the things his friends said about him in her daily newspaper column. She thought that he would be pleased with her homage to him. The town was absolutely loving it, couldn't wait for the next installment. The man had been out of town for a while, but when he returned and found what had been going on he was outraged and tried to take legal action against her.

Calle now admits she was cruel to make him suffer by making his life public.

I guess just putting up photos is different but i would definitely not liek someone to do it about me, especially if loads of people had been looking at them. image the secrets it could reveal to those who recognise the people in the pictures!
